Reach out to a new parent
Recent studies suggest that up to one quarter of all moms report some form of postpartum depression or anxiety. That’s just the ones that report it.
And it’s safe to say that almost 100% of new parents are pretty overwhelmed when they bring home their baby and are all of a sudden responsible for keeping this tiny human alive for the next 20 years.
So how can you help new parents who are in need of support during this intense time of their lives?
Reach out to them. Ask them if there’s anything you can do to help. Maybe drop off some food. Hold the baby so they can shower. Do a few chores around their house. Offer to go for a walk with them and the baby so they have someone to talk to and can get out of the house.
You would be surprised at how much these little gestures can make a big difference for new parents.
