Help your kids organize a school clothing drive
Parents often don’t know what to do with clothes their kids have outgrown. Especially things like hats and mitts that are hard to re-sell online. You can divert some of these items from landfill by helping your kids organize a clothing drive in their classroom (with teacher’s permission, of course). It’s pretty simple to do. You help your kids write a note to put into classmates’ backpacks saying that there will be a box to drop outdoor clothing items in the classroom. After a month or so, you drop off what was collected to a designated organization. Be sure to confirm with the organization in advance that they have the need and capacity for the items.
