Leave your phone at home
You would be amazed at how much more productive, less distracted, and less stressed you are if you don’t have your phone sitting next to you popping up notifications all day. Try “forgetting” your phone at home one day and really try to enjoy the freedom that comes with it. Gauge how you feel. Do you feel more calm? Do you feel happier? If so, it could inspire you to start doing that more regularly, so you can take a break from the constant deluge of messages and demands for your attention.
And if leaving your phone at home sounds too daunting, you can start by keeping your phone on silent in your bag so that you’re not picking up your phone for no reason every four minutes just because it’s right there.
