Be kind to yourself everyday

Try to say, out loud, five positive affirmations about yourself every day. These are things about yourself that you’re proud of – big or small. It could be that you’re a great parent, a thoughtful friend, or a hard worker. You’re a good cook, you’re organized, or you love to learn. Anything.⠀

Saying daily positive affirmations has been shown to help people overcome negative and self-sabotaging thoughts. When you repeat them often, it can change the neural pathways in your brain and change the way you feel about yourself in the moment and in the long term.⠀

A great time to do it is in the morning when you’re getting ready for your day, like in the shower or when you’re brushing your teeth. Or if it feels weird to say them out loud, you can try writing them in a journal.
