Get the flu shot
Public health organizations recommend that people get their flu shot by the end of October. Flu season starts around then and the flu shot takes about two weeks to become effective after receiving it. So, even though that seems early, it’s a really good time to go out and get it. And it’s especially important to get it before the holidays since flu activity tends to peak in December and the virus spreads more quickly with holiday get-togethers.
