Consider an e-bike
E-bikes — which have pedals but also have a rechargeable battery and can run 25 km/h — have seen tremendous growth in recent years. A report released in December, 2019 by Deloitte cited that global sales of 130 million e-bikes are expected between then and 2023. That’s a lot more than electric car predictions and a big reason why is price. Whereas the lowest-priced electric car is about $30,000, a new e-bike is in the $1,000-$5,000 range. The typical e-bike gets a range of about 30-40 kilometres on a single charge, so e-bikes can work very well for the average daily commuter. And there are also larger e-bikes that have a bit of storage, so you can transport your groceries and even other people. Consider an e-bike for your local commuting needs and see if it could work for your lifestyle.🌿
