Donate your old clothes
When you outgrow your clothes, instead of tossing them into the garbage, you can pass them on to others who need them. If they are in pretty good shape, you can call around to some family shelters, they often take donations of clean children’s clothes. You can also get your parents to post them to your local Buy Nothing Facebook group to make sure they go to good use. If they are not in good shape and can’t be easily repaired, then a good thing to do with your clothes is to take them to a clothes recycling drop off. Many large stores now have take back programs and some even offer coupons or discounts to reward you for your donation. A few that have clothing recycling drop off bins in store are H&M, The North Face, and Patagonia.
