Celebrate winter solstice

Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year and after that, the days begin to get longer. Cultures around the world celebrate the winter solstice in different ways but it often involves celebrating the sun through the lighting of candles and fireplaces, feasting, drinking, telling stories, and appreciating nature. It’s a nice way to feel some connection with the earth and the universe. If you want to celebrate solstice, some fun and easy ways are lighting some candles, making a simple wreath out of tree branches, making an orange pomander, or hanging food for animals on a tree in your yard as their food becomes scarce for the winter.
