Be kind to yourself everyday
Try to say, out loud, five things you like about yourself every day. These can be big or small. It could be that you’re a kind person, a thoughtful friend, or a hard worker. You’re organized, creative, or you love to learn. Anything!
These are called positive affirmations and this practice has been shown to help people overcome negative thoughts and change the way you feel about yourself in the moment and in the long term. ⠀
A great time to do it is in the morning when you’re getting ready for your day, like in the shower or when you’re brushing your teeth. Or if it feels weird to say them out loud, you can try writing them in a journal.
